Consultancy / Conversion
The 3 ships were Anchor Handling Vessels and they were converted to Seismic Support Vessels.
- MV Mainport Elm

- MV Mainport Ash
Conversion at Istanbul, Turkey August - September 2007. Seismic Support Vessel from AHTS including, tanks, equipment and accommodation.
- MV Mainport Oak
Conversion at Cape Town, RSA June – July 2007. Seismic Support Vessel from AHTS including, tanks, equipment and accommodation.
The job included the computer modelling of the vessels to recalculate ship stability and issue new Stability booklets.
The major conversion also meant extensive liaising with Class who had to approve project designs as well as other works.
For each ship the job was different but basically the passenger capacity was brought up to about 40 and tanks were increased to allow for offshore bunkering of the mother vessel.
New equipment was purchased and installed for the specific trade in mind.
Owner was continuously informed of progress at all stages in the purchase inspection, acquisition, design and conversion process, both on the technical and commercial aspects.
